Hello everyone! I belong to a family of three: Sky "bear", Clover "boo" and myself. Sky is a Holland Lop female and Clover is a black and white Dutch Rabbit. Truly the are the core of me. How did we three become a family?
The story of us:
For years since I was a child I've been a hard-core animal lover. And I had always loved bunnies, what little animal lover wouldn't. Well a few years back, I left all of my friends and family in Philadelphia, P.A. (my hometown) to move to sunny and warm Miami, Florida. I loved it immediately but I was very lonely. New friends suggested a dog. However, I just started a new job and was afraid I would be too tired to walk it 2- 3 times daily. So I opted for 1 bunny.
I woke up thinking "its only a bunny, all I need is a few things. How hard could caring for one be?" Oh how uninformed I was. I went in for 1 fell in love with 2 and couldn't part with any lol. So we all came home.
Although we have had some challenges: sky ended up pregnant before I realized each bunny was opposite genders, I learned she was expecting 1 week before giving birth, I lost my job within that same week, Clover becoming severly ill recently when he stopped eating and producing stool, I've been blessed that so far things have worked out some way. Once learning more about the care for rabbits and the challenges us bunny parents face daily, I became very dedicated to my bunny family and their complete safety, happiness and health. No matter how challenging, I couldn't see my life without them. Somehow I feel like the day they picked me was the day my life went from black & white to High-def color!
